Paleert Tjaara Dja invites a respectful working, learning and committed sharing approach based on cultural knowledge and practices.
- 01Respect and acknowledgement for Wadawurrung Traditional Owners and our cultural, ancestral, spiritual and historical connections to Country.
- 02Wadawurrung people's right to access and care for Country as an expression of our cultural obligation, responsibilities, connectedness, wellbeing and economic basis.
- 03Country is interconnected, alive with dreaming and creation stories — there is no separation between cultural and natural resources and people.
- 04Free, prior and informed consent requires genuine engagement from the beginning of decision-making or project planning.
- 05We seek partnerships that are genuine, benefit Wadawurrung people, address past negative impacts and enable self-determination.
- 06Appropriate and equitable resourcing for Wadawurrung people to participate in their obligation of care and management of Country.
